At Visikol, our mission is to accelerate the discovery and development of therapeutics through transforming tissues into quantitative data sets that we mine for actionable insights. We do this through leveraging our imaging, image analysis and advanced in vitro services that are based on a suite of proprietary software and cutting-edge research. We are currently looking for an Associate Scientist to join our team that will focus on our 3D tissue imaging and digital pathology services. This will be a unique opportunity to work side-by-side with our team of Scientists to develop novel drug discovery technologies for use with our pharmaceutical Clients. Specifically, the Associate Scientist will be responsible for the following:
- Processing and labeling whole tissues for 3D imaging using confocal microscopy
- Optimizing antibody labeling for 2D and 3D tissue imaging
- Assisting in the development of tissue labeling and imaging products
- Traditional histopathology slide preparation – embedding, sectioning, IHC/H&E labeling
- Bright field and fluorescent slide scanning
- Collaborating with research team to develop novel assays
- Developing new procedures for tissue processing and imaging
The candidate should have a strong background in the following:
- Immunolabeling of tissues
- Slide preparation
- Microscopy – confocal microscopy a plus
- Fluorescent imaging
- Conducting multiple research projects concurrently
- 2 years of wet lab experience
